All the status indicators are NORMAL (green).

However, the annual total remains 9 inches below the normal. The recent spell of dry weather continues to influence future groundwater levels.

Groundwater: Is in the NORMAL status. Local groundwater level data is available through 8/4/2025. Local groundwater levels are at the lower-median average.

Streamflow: as determined by USGS data for Tohickon Creek, remains above NORMAL status.

The National Ground Water Association (NGWA) and WellOwner.org have announced that Protect Your Groundwater Day will be held on September 3, 2025.

This annual event raises awareness about the importance of proper maintenance and testing of water wells, encouraging nationwide participation in protecting groundwater. NGWA and the BNTGMC recommend that private water systems be inspected and tested annually by certified water well contractors to ensure they provide safe, healthy water.
